‘Dr Natalie Kenny Lecture Series’ in Celebration of International Women’s Day

We are proud to launch the 'Dr Natalie Kenny Lecture Series', an annual programme honouring the achievements of Dr Natalie Kenny, esteemed KGV alumna and CEO of BioGrad, a leading UK scientific training provider.

Timed to coincide with International Women's Day, this new initiative reflects our commitment to celebrating female leadership and fostering the next generation of pioneers across science, business, the arts and beyond.

Dr Kenny, whose success in the life sciences sector has made a significant impact on education and industry, expressed her enthusiasm for the series:

The First Three Lectures

The Dr Natalie Kenny Lecture Series launches with three outstanding talks led by industry leaders who are shaping the future in their respective fields.

📢 Lecture 1: Why Representation Matters

⚖️ Speaker: Emma Stewart – Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Officer, Sefton Council
📅 Date: Monday 10 March
Emma Stewart will explore the importance of representation in leadership, decision-making and everyday life. Through her work at Sefton Council, she has championed inclusivity and diversity, advocating for equal opportunities across public services. This lecture will provide invaluable insights into how representation can drive meaningful societal change.

📢 Lecture 2: Gender Representation in the Life Sciences

🔬 Speaker: Dr Natalie Kenny – CEO of BioGrad
📅 Date: Tuesday 11 March
As a leader in the scientific training industry, Dr Kenny will discuss the challenges and progress of gender representation in the life sciences. She will share her experiences as a female CEO in STEM, highlighting the opportunities for young women aspiring to careers in science and innovation.
