UNIFORMED PUBLIC SERVICES

This Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma in Uniformed Public Services is a two year course, ideal for students wishing
to pursue a career in a wide variety of uniformed Public Service roles.

As well as studying elements of law, psychology, politics and policy making, you will also develop the skills, knowledge and
experience to help you pursue a career in the Armed Forces, Police, Fire Service, Prison Service, Immigration Service and more.

What will I study

During this interesting and varied course you will study a host of relevant topics, including:

Citizenship and Diversity;
Behaviour and Discipline; Global Affairs and the Media
Physical Preparation
Health and Wellbeing
Government and the Protective Services
Teamwork, Leadership and Communication
Planning for and Responding to Emergency Incidents.
There are also a variety of optional units including: managing security threats, skills for outdoor activities, police powers and the law, criminal investigation procedures and practice and many more!

Entry Requirements

Five GCSEs at Grade 9-4, including English or maths.
Please note that if you have only achieved a grade 9 - 4 in either English language or maths, you must have a minimum of grade 3 in the other subject.
