SPORTS LEVEL 2

The BTEC Level 2 Sport is a one year programme, perfect for progressing to our Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma for those who don't quite meet the entry requirements for study at Level 3.

You will study:
Leading Sport Safely and Effectively
Working in Sport and Activity Leadership
Leading Sport and Physical Activity
Coaching Sport
Developing Skills for Sport and Activity Leadership
Getting Others Active Outdoors
Delivering a Sports Activity Event

In additional you will also complete valuable work experience in a relevant setting.

What will I study

Sport is enjoyed by many people all over the world, whether it’s playing, training, coaching, or supporting. But there is so much more to it than that. This course gives you the opportunity to work within the sector and to enjoy sport every day of your working career. The BTEC Level 2 Sport is a one year programme, perfect for progressing to our Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma for those who don't quite meet the entry requirements for study at Level 3. At both level 2 and 3 you will still only study this one subject and (other than maths and English where required) you will not take other A Levels or A Level equivalents alongside.

Our Sports courses provide the perfect foundation for any student interested in studying a sports related degree at university such as Physiotherapy, Sports Equipment Development and Leisure Activity Management which previous students have progressed on to.
