Psychology and Science

Psychology and Science student went to Manchester on a trip to the Northern College of Music. The visit included a lecture about how psychology can be applied beyond the classroom, including areas like magic, hypnotism and music. The students also got to meet and hear from famous British criminal, Noel 'Razor' Smith. Now an award winning writer, Smith talked about his criminal career as a bank robber and how it was only in prison that he learnt to read and write.

A-Level English language students visited the Juniper Press at The Bluecoat in Liverpool to enrich their learning about the history of English. They were given an inspiring talk by Ken Burnley and each of them got to grips with a printing press, creating their own unique printed message.
