0.6 Student Engagement Officer (Term Time Only)

Working as part of the Safeguarding Team under the direction of the Assistant Principal for Curriculum and Quality, the post-holder will work closely with the Quality & Support Officer, Careers Coordinator, Progress Tutors and Heads of Department in supporting students to achieve their potential. The role will involve (but is not limited to) advising staff with regards to dealing with student welfare, conduct and safeguarding issues. Working in collaboration with key staff, the post-holder will provide a duty of care to students including those with complex welfare needs on a 1:1 basis, liaising with relevant family and external agencies as required. In addition, the post-holder will also undertake student conduct investigations, attend internal and external meetings and monitor the attendance and progress of vulnerable students. Whilst the post is largely based at King George V College the postholder will be required to work or attend meetings at Southport College on a regular basis.

Salary: £12,841.77 to £13,688.47 per annum
