STUDENT DIRECT

WHAT IS STUDENT DIRECT?

Student Direct is an NUS affiliated student led council and we discuss issues that are important to the Students at KGV. We help to create changes around College that we feel are needed to enhance the Student experience for the benefit of the current students and those who wish to come to KGV in the future.

Joining Student Direct will give you great skills to add to your CV and University application as it shows commitment, good time management and team work. Joining will also improve your communication skills, as you will be listening to others points of view and taking action to help students to reach their full potential.

Student Direct is open to both first year and second year Students and is chaired by the two Student Governors (this year, Charlie Hayward and Cameron Neilson). Student Direct is made up of three groups: Student Representatives, Student Ambassadors and the Social and Charity Committee.

STUDENT REPRESENTATIVES

Student Reps will act as a student voice, communicating with the College’s Senior Leadership Team on behalf of the student body. Representatives from each subject area across the College will have regular meetings with the Vice Principal to offer student feedback and discuss any issues of concern.

STUDENT AMBASSADORS

Student Ambassadors will work closely with the College Marketing and Admissions Team, helping out with KGV events and promoting the College at local High Schools. Student Reps will also be expected to act as Ambassadors of the College.

SOCIAL AND CHARITY COMMITTEE

The Social and Charity Committee will have the responsibility of organising student social events such as the second year prom. The committee will also oversee the College’s involvement in fund-raising activities for designated charities.
