King George V College

KGV Film Club offers an opportunity for students to view a wide variety of films that they may not necessarily have seen; some of these films include foreign cinema pieces such as Amelie (2001, French) or City of God (2002, Brazilian), or Indie film releases such as Submarine (2010). A new film will be screened in our new multipurpose theatre every week. This is a chance for, not just Film Studies students, but anyone to broaden their knowledge of cinema. Students will discuss their favourite scenes within the films and debate what they liked and didn’t like about the film. Being introduced to this basic film terminology develops and changes the way students view films forever.
