MUSIC TECHNOLOGY

A LEVEL MUSIC TECHNOLOGY AT KGV

Develop skills in the use of technology to create and produce music across a range of disciplines. You will use the latest hardware and software to sequence, record and compose music using MIDI controller keyboards and a range of microphones in a professionally equipped recording studio. In addition to practical elements of the course, you will develop analytical skills relating to the use of technology in music production since the early 1900s.

WHAT WILL I STUDY?

You will study modules including Creative Sequenced Arrangement, Multitrack Recording and Composition. Students have full use of industry standard recording and music production facilities, learning Logic Pro and Pro Tools in your first year of the course. As part of the course, you will be given the opportunity to create music for the college and be involved in college productions and concerts, whilst learning the art and science of music technology.
