King George V College
COURSE DISCUSSIONS

Once you have applied to King George V you will be invited to attend a Course Discussion at the College. This one-to-one appointment will give you the opportunity to talk through your course options and future aspirations with a member of staff, and discover all you need to know about studying at KGV.

Course Discussion evenings will run on set dates throughout the year from 5-7pm. When you apply, you will be asked to indicate at least two dates that you are able to attend. The dates for 2016-17 are:

Wednesday 30th November 2016

Thursday 12th January 2017

Tuesday 2nd February 2017

Tuesday 21st February 2017

Wednesday 22nd March 2017

Wednesday 19th April 2017

Wednesday 26th April 2017

Once you have applied, we will send you an appointment card in the post, inviting you to attend a Course Discussion evening on one of your preferred dates.

The Course Discussion will last around twenty minutes and it’s up to you whether you come alone to your appointment or choose to bring a parent along too.

TOP TIPS!

  1. HAVE YOUR PREDICTED GRADES HANDY It will be helpful for us to know your predicted grades so that we can advise on the best study programme for you.
  2. ARRIVE PREPARED Research the courses you are interested in. Look through the KGV prospectus or browse our available courses online. This will give you lots to talk about and will ensure you get the most out of your discussions.
  3. THINK OF SOME QUESTIONS Your Course Discussion is as much an opportunity for you to ask us questions as it is for us to ask you! Your questions could be anything from ‘What modules will I study on this course?’ to ‘What extra activities can I get involved in?’ or even, ‘What should I wear to College?’
